Q.  Do I qualify to buy one of these homes?

A.  Find out at the Proud Ground website.

Q. What does the HOA fee cover?

A. The HOA fee covers water, sewer, trash, recycling, building and grounds maintenance, common unit electricity, exterior lighting, sprinkler system monitoring, gutter cleaning, building insurance (each buyer will need separate insurance for personal property and liability), and reserve deposits to replace major building elements as necessary.

Q. Is there parking?

A. There are no off-street car parking spaces. However, the building is located on a corner lot with street parking nearby. There is also a shared and secure bike room with 17 wall-mounted bike racks.

Q.  How will the community room be used?

A.  It will be up to the new owners how exactly the interior community spaces will be used.  The side bedroom and full bathroom can be a place for residents to host out-of-town guests.  The living room area could work for movie nights, pot lucks, lending library (for books, toys, …), birthday parties, or quiet escapes from a zany home front to read a good book or magazine on a rainy Oregon afternoon.  Whatever residents come up with, our hope is that these spaces will serve as welcome extensions of the individual homes.

Q.  How are these homes kept affordable forever?

A.  Check out this FAQ, also on the Proud Ground website.
